FARGO, N.D. - A.M. Best Co. has upgraded the financial strength rating of Nodak Mutual Group to A (Excellent) from  A-. These ratings apply to Battle Creek Mutual Insurance Company located in Battle Creek, Nebraska.

The upgrading of Battle Creek reflects the Nodak Mutual Group’s solid capitalization, positive operating results. In addition, the ratings recognize management’s strong enterprise risk management practices that have contributed to the group’s long-term favorable operating results.

These results are primarily due to a well-executived plan by management that included reunderwriting the property book of business and successful settlement of open claims, the release concluded.
